Some days I get really down on myself... I read a statistic today that said,"Women, on average, say at least 13 negative things to themselves each day." I'm learning the tools to stop doing that, but some days it's still hard.
Being the mother of a little girl is such a HUGE privilege and responsibility. She is such a precious gift- innocent, impressionable, and so very smart. She picks up on everything I say and do and is a mirror reflection of me.
On days when I start to get down on myself, I look into her deep dark eyes and remember- she deserves to love herself. That's something she won't be able to learn from a mommy who belittles, talks negatively to and criticizes herself.
Like I said, she is a mirror reflection of me and today I choose to reflect out to her strength and beauty, wisdom and self worth. I will reflect to her that I am so much more than a number on the scale or a size on a clothing label. She is my mirror reflection - she is SO So very beautiful.
